Centrally located in the heart of Virginia, Fluvanna County is about 25 Miles east of Charlottesville, 60 miles west of Richmond, 120 miles south of Washington D.C., and within 45 miles of the scenic Skyline Drive.
Fluvanna County's south boundary is the James River, which separates Fluvanna from the counties of Buckingham and Cumberland. To the west is Albemarle county; to the north, Louisa County; and to the east, Goochland County.
